My MP was appointed Shadow Cabinet Minister for Patient Safety after I raised my case and the wider issues with her.
"Your experience has highlighted glaring omissions in the accountability of private healthcare providers, their grievance procedures, and an independent oversight body.
My office are in the process of corresponding with the Shadow Health Team in order to discuss your case and the Labour Party’s wider response to a lack of oversight of private healthcare facilities ."
This was written in Nov 2021. She promised to do things she did not do. I had two meetings with her to explain her own job, it felt like. She actually said I had been a "Guinea Pig" for private healthcare safety for the last 4 years. I still have no further answers in 2023
This MP has now been given a new Shadow Cabinet Office. She has not passed this case on to anyone. This is what we can expect of a new Labour government
Below is the link to the Government response to the House of Commons Select Committee Report. I invite you to read and decide for yourselves if they have tackled the issues.

My personal experience finds the Government have accepted many of the recommendations, however, it appears they have failed to identify problems within the Private Healthcare Sector, in my opinion. They have not given ISCAS any additional powers to enforce. They are relying on the CQC. My opinion of the CQC is they should be disbanded.
The Government is taking consultation on some things but have failed to do anything about accountability or liability in the private sector so far.
I have no idea why the CQC remains in charge of practising privileges since the GMC regulate healthcare professional. The CQC have actually told me, in writing, they do not regulate them.
Enters into force 31st July 2023. It should give AXA and all medical insurers a "duty of care" to help get good outcomes for members. However, AXA recently suggested I may have that wrong. I have asked the FOS (Financial Ombudsman Service) for clarification.
I did speak to the Dept of Health but got no where
